This is the real policy — written in plain words, because you should be able to actually read it. KiwiKowa is a daily companion for mental health, which means what you put in it is sensitive. Here is exactly what we store, where it lives, what we do with it, and how to make it all disappear.

What we store

Your account: your email address and the name you enter.
What you log in the app: check-ins (mood, energy and similar), diary entries, goals and the proofs behind them, tasks and plans, calendar blocks, ideas, and day notes.

That's it. We store nothing you didn't type or tap into the app — there are no analytics events, no behavioural tracking, no hidden profiles.

Where it lives

Everything is kept in a database we run ourselves (self-hosted Supabase / PostgreSQL) on our own server, hosted with Hetzner in Germany (EU). Your data does not sit in a big-tech cloud. Your password is never stored readable — only as a hash.

The app also keeps a local copy of your data on your own device so it works offline, and your login session lives in your browser. Both stay on your device.

How your diary is analyzed — the honest part

When you save a diary entry, its text travels over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) to our server, where a language model running on that same server reads it to find real evidence of progress toward your goals. That model is self-hosted: no OpenAI, no Google, no third-party AI service ever sees your words, and nothing you write is used to train any model.

To do this, the server has to be able to read your entries — they are not end-to-end encrypted. We tell you this plainly because you deserve to know it before you write. Some smaller analysis runs entirely on your device and never leaves it at all.

What we never do

No analytics or tracking scripts. No advertising.
We never sell, rent, or share your data with anyone.
The only parties involved are us (the operator) and Hetzner (the company whose hardware the server runs on).

Your data, your controls

Export: Settings → "Export my data (JSON)" gives you a full copy any time.
Delete: Settings → "Delete account" permanently removes your account and everything in it, immediately.
Or just email us: write to keeper888ai@pm.me to access, correct, or delete your data (your GDPR rights). We answer as fast as a small team honestly can — and within 30 days at the latest.

Changes and contact
